This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your data when you use our event ticket booking app

Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal information to provide and improve our Services:
- Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, postal address
- Account Information: Username, password (stored securely in encrypted/hashed form), account preferences, and settings
- Payment Data: Payment method details, billing information, and transaction records. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe and is not stored on our servers
- Location Data: Precise or approximate location data, collected only with your explicit consent, to provide location-based event recommendations and display venue locations on maps. Location data is accessed only while the app is in use and is not collected in the background
- Sensitive Personal Information: Payment credentials and biometric authentication data (such as Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint), collected only with your explicit consent and used solely for secure login and essential services. Biometric data is stored securely on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers
- Usage Data: Device type (iOS/Android), operating system version, app version, IP address, app usage logs, crash reports, and diagnostics
- Media and File Access: With your permission, we may access photos selected by you to upload profile pictures or event-related content. We do not scan, access, or upload media unless you explicitly choose to share it via the app
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Used for app functionality, performance analysis, analytics, and security purposes
- Device Identifiers: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens, Firebase Installation IDs, and app-specific device identifiers used for push notifications, analytics, device registration, and troubleshooting
- Third-Party SDK Data: Information collected by third-party SDKs integrated into our app (such as Firebase, Google Maps, Google Sign-In, and Stripe) for functionality, analytics, authentication, payments, and map services, in accordance with their respective privacy policies

- OpenSeatz does not sell or share personal data for monetary or cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
- If this practice changes in the future, users may opt out via in-app Privacy Settings or by contacting support@openseatz.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Data”
2. Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising
- OpenSeatz does not engage in targeted advertising.
- If targeted advertising is introduced, you may opt out via device settings, in-app privacy controls, or by contacting support@openseatz.com with the subject line “Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising”
3. Opt-Out of Profiling with Legal or Similarly Significant Effects
- OpenSeatz does not use profiling for legal or significant decisions.
- If such profiling is introduced, you may opt out by contacting support@openseatz.com with the subject line “Opt-Out of Profiling”
4. How We Process Opt-Out Requests
- Requests are verified to protect user privacy
- Requests are processed within 45 days
California Residents (CCPA)

Location Data
We collect precise location data only with your explicit consent to recommend nearby events and display venues on maps.
You can disable location access at any time through your device settings.
App Permissions
Our app may request the following permissions to provide specific features:
- Location (when in use only)
- Camera (iOS) for profile photo capture
- Photo Library for profile and event-related uploads
- Storage (app-specific only; no broad file access)
- Notifications for event updates and ticket confirmations
- Biometric authentication for secure login (optional)

Third-Party SDKs and Permissions
Our app uses third-party SDKs such as Firebase, Google Maps, Google Sign-In, and Stripe to provide core functionality.

Any changes to SDKs or permissions will be disclosed in app updates and reflected here.
Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verified parental consent.
Users aged 13–17 may use the Services only with parental or guardian consent.
Adult-focused events may be restricted to 18+ participants. Event organizers may set additional age limits for specific events, and parental consent may be required to register or purchase tickets for participants under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
